Thomas brings three decades of leadership at the intersection of capital, strategy and climate-impact investing — combining private-equity and strategy-consulting credibility with a strong track record of scaling innovative technologies across European and global markets. As Partner at Adan Corporate and Managing Partner of Adan Corporate Benelux, he leads the firm’s sustainability and impact-investment practice across the energy transition, life sciences and water management.
A central figure in European climate policy: Director and Trustee of Climate Outreach in Oxford (2015–2023) — Europe’s leading climate-communication organisation, whose research underpins the IPCC, World Bank and governments — and Chair of the D66 Working Group on Climate Mitigation & Adaptation (2019–2024), convening TU Delft, TNO and Deltares with members of the Dutch House of Representatives. He brings Aquius portfolio-construction expertise and an extensive European network across institutional capital, climate philanthropy, knowledge institutes and government — accelerating our ability to raise patient capital and scale portfolio companies internationally.
Henk Nieboer
Managing Partner
Henk brings over 30 years of leadership in the global water and infrastructure sector, combining deep engineering expertise with board-level strategic and operational experience. As Managing Director and member of the board of Witteveen+Bos, he played a central role in the international expansion and scaling of complex water and hydraulic infrastructure projects across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
A defining figure in shaping the Dutch and European water innovation ecosystem — Director of the EcoShape foundation (Building with Nature), Interim Director and current advisory board chair of the Netherlands Water Partnership, and supervisory board member of Deltares — connecting research, policy, engineering and implementation to bridge innovation and large-scale deployment. Henk brings Aquius privileged deal flow, deep technical validation capabilities and an international network across utilities, governments, knowledge institutes and industry partners that accelerates commercialisation and de-risks scale-up.
